Teaching Assistants
All classes are also staffed by bi-lingual teaching assistants. Teaching assistants play a support role, assisting the native English speaking teachers, as well as providing parents with an in-class point of contact.

Cambridge ESOL Examinations
Students are assessed throughout their courses using Cambridge ESOL practice examinations. Some students may then go on to take these examinations organised by ILA and Cambridge ESOL. These examinations – Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET and FCE are internationally recognised indicators of English language proficiency.

Feedback to parents
Each month parents receive a written and/ or verbal report from teachers or teaching assistants. The purpose of these reports is to keep parents up-to-date with their children’s learning progression and to give parents the opportunity to discuss any issues they may have.

ILA Jumpstart is a fun and active 3 level English programme designed for children from the ages of 4 to 6 years old.

ILA Jumpstart teachers are dedicated and creative in teaching children of this age group and are supported by 2 teaching assistants in each class.

Students practise and learn English through fun, high energy activities and experience English language through art, reading story books, computer assisted language learning programmes as well as their course books and supporting CDs.

ILA Juniors is a 6 level English programme designed for children from the ages of 6 to 11 years old.

Classes are interactive and students are encouraged to express themselves with confidence and develop their listening, speaking and pronunciation skills. Students learn through songs, activities, games, role-plays, and team orientated activities.

ILA Seniors is an 8 level English programme designed for children and teenagers from the ages of 11 to 15 years old. During class time students are engaged in a wide range of role-plays, discussions, mingling activities, brainstorming sessions, group work/pair work, multi-media based exercises, team orientated activities and individual presentations.

ILA Elite is a 10 level English programme designed for teenagers from the ages of 15 to 18 years old.

Each course contains a well-structured grammatical syllabus. Students develop all 4 skills, [reading, writing, listening, speaking], learn a wide range of useful vocabulary, correct pronunciation and are provided many opportunities to practice listening and speaking skills through communicative classroom exercises and activities. In addition, the programme provides students with general knowledge on a broad range of issues that will assist them in their further studies.
